5 Macbooks + a shitload of midi, btw richie hawtin
Ok so now I'm thinking about the future and I see a pretty organized thing going around with everything. First off, equipment is pretty much vital to the work I do. Right now I'm using an HP DV9000 Laptop which runs Ableton decent enough for what I'm doing, a Lexicon interface which is obviously for I/O's, my midi controller (UC33e) which is beast, a PA 200 watt mixer with two speakers (specifically two Peavey PR12's). I mean, I'm not saying that my setup is bad, but it does have some potential to kick major. Right now I'm saving up for these two Peavey speakers (specifically the PV 215 Dual 15") which run at 1400 watts max, but my idea is to run both of them at 900 watts, giving off 1.8k power to each, by the way, I'll be running this off a Peavey 2600 watt power amp. This basically qualifies with 800 watts left over, so probably this would mean no short circuit bull. I might run a conditioner depending on what I do. As far as the laptop goes, I think its fine, because the only thing that's in it is music, which will probably be xfer'd into an external hard drive soon. My midi controller will be with me. For the mixer, I am debating on getting either a DJM 800 or a Xone:92, but thats way in the future after I literally know every component in Ableton, and I still have to find a preset log that I can map out in my mind before I buy the mixer. As far as everything else, a Macbook wouldn't be a bad edition, that will be when I have money to throw away. So the math is:
Yeah, today there is big news, I got a name change, and for alot of people reading this, alot of them will finally say "FINALLY MOTHERFUCKER!" To be honest, I'm staying with this name, no more flippy floppy bullshit with the names, but I think Moofin suits me the best. For a little history lesson on the name, obviously for some people reading this that are my close friends, this was my nickname for like 6 years, due to a PC game. Alot of my friends just called me the name and then it brushed off on everyone, I'm trapped with this name forever until the grave, but I love every one who calls me it. Close post to everyone, and thanks to everybody for driving me to name myself this (lol some drive.) Anyways I was looking back on the Guetta set I saw back in March @ UMF 11, and I gotta say, the set had its ups and laughs more. The "Just a Little More Love" drop is a lol, and the together loop, but also, I have to give the remix he put up which is the Love is Gone vs American boy remix, so fucking good. Anyways, here are the links. David Guetta @ UMF 11 - "Just A Little More "and "When Love Takes Over" David Guetta @ UMF 11 - 'American Boy" vs. "Love is Gone"
Make sure to watch both in HQ also....

sebastiAn, always having a cigarette in his mouth'.Yeah so if you haven't been reading I obviously got the evo and I have to tell you, it is a shitload of fun looking through my music folder and finding songs I havent really been listening to and just ripping them, there's just so many possibilities a $260 midi controller can do! So if anyone really wants to know my setup, here is an idea.
Cheap picture lol, click to enlarge Well anyways, here is some other news. I've been looking at tracks (oh what a surprise) and I realize yo some shits really bangin! But yeah I'm thinking of turning in DS games (what a cringe) for cash so I can buy an audio i/o for my laptop (since I use the evo now) + I'm thinking of selling my cdj 200's and my old setup w/ the speakers and PA. Here's the shit: 2 Pioneer CDJ-200's, 2 Peavy PR12 PA Speakers, 1 Yamaha 200 watt powered mixer, and MAYBE my X6 Numark mixer (because I might use it for plugging in the speakers + an extra sub for nice bass.) Here are some tracks I found this week, enjoy, and sorry I'm late on the updates, I'm so fucking lazy.
Boys Noize - Wisconsin '95 l electronic, electro l stream: youtube l heard: itunes
Ferrin and Low - Breeze (Original Mix) l trance, electronic, electronica l stream: youtube l heard: Sean Elmore my man!
Finally got the evo, thank God! When I opened it I was pretty focused on actually touching the knobs because thats what I wanted to know the most. Turns out the knobs are perfect! They are smooth and not clicky, the box present is actually pretty good, boxed together coming with skins and software. I realized I have vista on my laptop so the software is useless, so I downloaded Enigma and the drivers for the uc33 on m-audio.com. The only problem I seem to be having is that the evolution isn't doing any commands to the laptop :/. Oh man, I need to look into this. Anyways, a couple of weeks ago David Guetta released his hit single "When Love Takes Over", I realized this today because I havent been on the port in a while. Well, here are my two Favorites, they would have to be the Original Mix and the Laidback Luke Remix. The Electro Extended Mix isn't that bad either, actually, it'd have to be my prime favorite. Click those and enjoy!
l house, electro, electronic l myspace: David Guetta l drop/middle track (?), heard it at Ultra 11, WORLD EXCLUSIVE (FIRST TIME DG EVER =D)
Orgasmic on left, Curses! behind, Surkin in front Forgot to post yesterday because PC got fucked up. Evo still isn't here, pretty pissed :/, now I have to wait until tomorrow. Well, I have nothing to blog about besides more music. I cleaned out both computers and now my laptop is strictly for musique. Well cheers, here are 3 tracks. Laidback Luke & A-Trak - Shake It Down l bass, house l new/old setlist?: old l drop
Djedjotronic - Gum Attack l electro l new/old setlist?: new l middle, heard at Ultra 2009, Boys Noize Set
Chuckie - Let the Bass Kick (Silvio Ecomo Remix) (removed via copyright :/) l house, electronic, electro house l type: drop Diplo & Laidback Luke - Hey! l house, electronic, bass l type: drop and LOLOL FUCKIN BASS
Evo comes in tommorow, enjoy. Click links to listen. Apple store sells midi keyboards n shit, I want o.o, I gotta get creative w/ equipment (m-audio midi mixer loloolo)
Ok so first of all this update is actually one day early. The actual single is suppose to be released tommorow, but actually I was swinging down european I-Tunes to find the single already out! This single is about 3/5 in my opinion, for fans that are really true to the genre, I suggest getting the album, for people who are new to Prodigy and their new style (from Invaders Must Die), you might want to reconsider. So thoughts about this single, well, it does follow it's success from March's full album release. It also gives some artists some light from the remixes. Overall, ok album, enjoy. I think the original is my personal favorite. Happy Mother's Day!
The songs presented here really need some discovery from different people. I've been checking out forums for good tracks and heres ten I managed to scout, all sets as recent as possible.
Steve Angello, what more do I have to say. A friend of mine mixed the famous new track "Flonko." Yeah, the mix has some class, but whatever, a mix is a mix. Download for free at zippyshare, more mixes by Iggy coming soon. Another thing i'd like to point out is how much Steve Angello actually works, he probably only gets 3 hours of sleep a weekend. He is a party animal, and thats why I love this track, DL and follow.
Part 1 01. The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy, Hey Girl (Soulwax Remix) 02. Wolfie - Oh Missy (In Flagranti Remix) 03. Gossip - Standing in the Way of Control (Soulwax Remix) 04. ??? 05. Pryda - Rakfunk 06. Mr. Oizo - Cut Dick 07. ???
Part 2 01. Mr. Oizo - Cut Dick 02. Tiga - Mind Dimension (Soulwax Remix) 03. Felix Da Housecat - Elvi$ 04. ??? 05. MGMT - Kids (Soulwax Remix)
Click the parts to watch. Overall, fine set, 2manydjs are still going! I really want to see them live after hearing "As Heard on Radio Soulwax, Part 7." There edits are insane as well as there mixing abilities. The brothers from Belgium have a vast amount of skill due to the fact that they also play in a band. Not to mention, every remix that comes out of their factory is amazing and fresh. A must watch for all people into electro and people who like seeing live mixes in the set.
If anyone wanted to know what there using: Pioneer CDJ-1000 MK3 x3 Pioneer DJM-800 x1 Sony MDR-V900HD Headphones (At least I think so, I couldn't see if they had a red bar under the Sony logo, so I just guessed)
Well today I decided to spend my money on a Midi Controller. Yes, I am a big fan of Surkin and I do birdwatch his sets and what he uses. I saw the midi controller he used and all I could see on the back was "evolution." It is quick and simple, the knobs on it are smooth (no clicks) and 9 faders (1 assigned to master volume). This thing is beast mode, not to mention the pads you can also assign to do different things on ableton. I'll be using this with Ableton 7, because I really don't feel like learning 8. Yeah, $260 buy.
In other news, I'd like to share my discovery with you. So yeah I was basically just searching through old radio mixes I had in a folder and I ran into this song that sounded "Daft Punk" type, I was either guessing Alan Braxe & Fred Falke, Daft Punk, or Cassius. I searched through all of Cassius until I gave up. 3 months later I run into the track again and I just forum posted it, turns out the track was right in front of me the whole time. It was a remix of one of Cassius' tracks, La Mouche. Btw, the track is Cassius - La Mouche (DJ Falcon Remix). This has to be the catchiest beat ever next to Chord Memory or Mothership Reconnection (both of Musique), Musique's not that bad either. (*album shown is "MTV's House in Montmartre)

This is the first track Iggy has released on his own. It was also produced by him as well. Overall I loved the track, it was great the first time I heard it. The reason I love this track is because the bassline is so proper and clean. Another thing is that it has a hip sort of style to it. I'm going to stop talking, you have to check this out for yourself.
On the other hand, another mix is here.

Wow, this mix is very good. Made by Iggy himself, and there is some edits in there made by him. Overall the mix is very good, alot of jams used in here. The selection of songs is great as well as some artists. Feel free to check out the myspaces for more music. Great mix, 10/5, download it!
01. The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy, Hey Girl 02. Simian Mobile Disco - Hustler 03. Benny Benassi - Satisfaction 04. Surkin - Next of Kin 05. Deadmau5 - Hi Friend
One song, straight forward shit there. Basically this mix is like a month old but I never released it anywhere, so I just decided to release it now. It's pretty short, supposedly "unfinished work" but meh, I'm happy the way it is, too lazy to make it ten minutes now. A couple of things to note before listening to it. The Satisfaction transition is very bulky and crap, but if you go with the words to Hustler, it won't really make that much of a trainwreck. Otherwise, enjoy the mix, and comment/rate on how you liked it.
Ok so I've been skimming the web for the past week for sets from Hard 13, Coachella, and WMC 2009. I came across a mix that everyone is dying to know, well, I'm here to help. If anyone was wondering about the tracks he is mixing, here is the tracklist in the specific video. The only track that I haven't figured out is track number 3 that he uses. (*full screening the video is recommended)
01. Busta Rhymes - Touch It (Hollertronix Remix) 02. Diplo - Must Be A Devil (CSY Remix) 03. Nadastorm - Jack's Horny 04. House of Pain - Jump Around (Micky Slim Remix)
In other news, deadmau5 & Kaskade's hit song "I Remember" released a music video for their song this week, and here it is in HD.
The 10 Commandments of Being a Raver: 1. Location, Location, Location 2. Cease the Day 3. It's not where your from, it's where your going 4. Fear Nothing 5. Send a word out to those who believe in it 6. Stand up and make your voice be heard 7. Eject the Mainstream 8. Never Fail 9. Make sure the music is bangin', you can't have a revolution if the music isn't there?!? 10. It's your choice, find your own voice (is that what he said?)
This is my first entry to the blog, presenting you with a chillout session mixtape. This mixtape is STRICTLY chillout, so don't expect some big bass kicks or like a huge drop, because your not going to get that shit here. This is like chilled the fuck out chill out music. I chose some of my best selections from AFX and Aphex Twin (saying that because most of this stuff is Richard D. James) as well as some old classics like Lush 3-2 and Hypnotizin'. I ended the mixtape with The Private Psychedelic Reel because the song is that epic. I hope you enjoy it, leave comments to tell me what you think. Don't forget to download winRAR to open the archive.
(*all songs are used in a continuous mix put on one audio file)
First post begins right here, I'm just gonna tell you guys what I'm here to do. I'm just pretty much going to blog about the following: mixtapes, remixes, new shit I got, EP's and Singles from different artists (and hopefully me :/), new equipment, in-game achievements (not now too busy), and some random sheiz. I got so carried away that I forgot to introduce myself! Oh shit! My name is 8-Bit.
