Entry 19: Fatboy Slim @ Brighton
I can't believe I haven't spotted any blogs giving some credit to the songs he actually played that night. When he first dropped It Just Won't Do, everyone knew the damn lyrics. Looked so fun, one day I'll be lucky enough to see Norman in the flesh. Gha he's one of my heroes, next to Thomas Bangalter and The Chemical Brothers, as well as 2manydjs. Well here's the two tracks he played on this actual video, looked mad fun. Enjoy.
1. Tim Deluxe - It Just Won't Do
2. Chamonix - 77 Strings

Entry 18: More Ableton
Iggy's Second Mix
Hey everyone, sorry I'm so late on everything, because I've been mad busy latley with a new job locally and making some extra money.I don't know what it is but I seem to be getting lazy with the evolution and actually questioning myself with "am I really going to start moving on to midi?" The answer is yes, and no. I'll still be using midi, but I have to get back to the actual analog way of mixing. Once I figure out the I/O's from my mixer to PC, that'll be something. I'll keep you guys posted. In other news, Iggy releases a new mix, enjoy. Playing with the effects a little bit btw. If anyone wanted to know, beat repeat is a big one here in the YT mix.

Entry 17: Ableton Progression
Ok so here is my progress on Ableton and using the Evolution. I'm still 3 weeks into the actual product but I'm doing alright. First thing I'd like to point out while watching is that the transition between love is gone and world, hold on, embarassing. Anyways, enjoy, here is the tracklist.
1. David Guetta - Love is Gone (Fred Rister & Joachim Gurraud Remix)
2. Bob Sinclair - World, Hold On (Axwell Remix)
3. Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream (Mobin Master Remix)
4. Robin S feat. Steve Angello and Laidback Luke - Show Me Love vs Be (Hardwell Bootleg)
(was fading into Riverside when the video was finishing)

Entry 16: OMFG I HAD TO

Ok so I woke up ready to practice on the evo but FIRST, I went on hypem.com to check out some new tracks, but this one track caught my interest. First off, yes it is a Black Eyed Peas track and you guys probably have an idea. Yes, Boom Boom Pow. This remix however turns the whole song around and makes it funky as hell. I wouldn't be blogging about it if it was bad, but for me to make a huge blog on it, yes, the song is that good. If anyone wants to check out nice tracks, check my page out on hypem.com/moofin

Entry 15: On the Horizon

5 Macbooks + a shitload of midi, btw richie hawtin
Ok so now I'm thinking about the future and I see a pretty organized thing going around with everything. First off, equipment is pretty much vital to the work I do. Right now I'm using an HP DV9000 Laptop which runs Ableton decent enough for what I'm doing, a Lexicon interface which is obviously for I/O's, my midi controller (UC33e) which is beast, a PA 200 watt mixer with two speakers (specifically two Peavey PR12's). I mean, I'm not saying that my setup is bad, but it does have some potential to kick major. Right now I'm saving up for these two Peavey speakers (specifically the PV 215 Dual 15") which run at 1400 watts max, but my idea is to run both of them at 900 watts, giving off 1.8k power to each, by the way, I'll be running this off a Peavey 2600 watt power amp. This basically qualifies with 800 watts left over, so probably this would mean no short circuit bull. I might run a conditioner depending on what I do. As far as the laptop goes, I think its fine, because the only thing that's in it is music, which will probably be xfer'd into an external hard drive soon. My midi controller will be with me. For the mixer, I am debating on getting either a DJM 800 or a Xone:92, but thats way in the future after I literally know every component in Ableton, and I still have to find a preset log that I can map out in my mind before I buy the mixer. As far as everything else, a Macbook wouldn't be a bad edition, that will be when I have money to throw away. So the math is:
$300x2 =-$600 - Speakers
$600 - Power Amp
$1200-1700 - Xone: 92
lets get that 2000 somethin.

Entry 13: Rippin it more on the EVO!

sebastiAn, always having a cigarette in his mouth'.Yeah so if you haven't been reading I obviously got the evo and I have to tell you, it is a shitload of fun looking through my music folder and finding songs I havent really been listening to and just ripping them, there's just so many possibilities a $260 midi controller can do! So if anyone really wants to know my setup, here is an idea.

Well anyways, here is some other news. I've been looking at tracks (oh what a surprise) and I realize yo some shits really bangin! But yeah I'm thinking of turning in DS games (what a cringe) for cash so I can buy an audio i/o for my laptop (since I use the evo now) + I'm thinking of selling my cdj 200's and my old setup w/ the speakers and PA. Here's the shit: 2 Pioneer CDJ-200's, 2 Peavy PR12 PA Speakers, 1 Yamaha 200 watt powered mixer, and MAYBE my X6 Numark mixer (because I might use it for plugging in the speakers + an extra sub for nice bass.) Here are some tracks I found this week, enjoy, and sorry I'm late on the updates, I'm so fucking lazy.
